INSIDE AIHFABS

Factory & Facilities

A closer look at the equipment and manufacturing environments behind custom 3D printed and CNC machined parts.

Explore the facility gallery, watch our prototyping introduction, and connect each production route to the requirements of your project. Equipment selection starts with geometry, material, quantity and the finish you need.

CHOOSE THE PRODUCTION ROUTE

Different equipment for different part requirements

01 / POLYMERS

Polymer 3D printing

Resin printing supports visual models and detailed geometry; powder-bed processes offer another route for functional polymer parts. Compare the material, wall thickness, support strategy and post-processing before deciding.

02 / METALS

Metal additive manufacturing

For complex metal geometry, discuss build orientation, support removal, heat treatment and machined interfaces together. Access to a machine alone does not establish the final tolerance or surface condition.

03 / MACHINING

CNC machining & finishing

Machined parts need accessible features, appropriate workholding and a clear drawing. Plan critical dimensions, threads and finishes in the quotation so secondary operations are included in the scope.

BEYOND THE MACHINE

Plan the whole route from file to delivery

  1. Review the design

Provide CAD, a drawing revision and the surfaces that matter. Identify fits, cosmetic faces, internal channels or assembly constraints.

  2. Agree on production and finishing

Discuss the process, material, quantity and finishing sequence. Confirm whether a sample or first article should be approved before a repeat build.

  3. Define acceptance and packing

Specify checks, documentation and protection needed for delivery. Connect the acceptance criteria to the drawing rather than a general promise of precision.

Questions about our facilities

How do I choose a manufacturing process?

Start with part function, material, dimensions, quantity and finish. The services overview helps compare routes; send CAD files for a review of geometry-specific constraints.

Can I request a closer look at equipment for my project?

Contact the team with the process and features you want to discuss. Ask about current equipment information, available production media and project-specific review options.

Does the gallery guarantee a particular machine will make my order?

No. Confirm the production route, capacity and any required machine or site restrictions in the quotation before placing an order.
