New Feature Update: File Version Revision Before Production

We are excited to announce a new feature designed to streamline the ordering process across all our manufacturing services. Customers who have already created a quote or placed an order can now update their file version before the order moves into the production stage.

This update is especially helpful when a file issue is identified after submission. Instead of canceling the order and starting over, users can simply upload the corrected file for review. This significantly reduces back-and-forth confirmation time and helps keep projects on schedule.

How It Works

Once a quote or order has been created, the system now allows a file version update before the order is reviewed and released to production. If a design file contains errors, dimensional issues, or printability concerns, the customer can submit a revised version directly. The updated file will then go through the standard review process before manufacturing begins.

This feature supports faster communication between customers and our engineering review team, helping to prevent delays caused by file abnormalities.

Why This Matters for Online Manufacturing

In online manufacturing, file accuracy is critical. Even small issues in a 3D model can affect print quality, dimensional accuracy, or structural integrity. Allowing file updates before production helps reduce the risk of defective parts and improves overall order efficiency.

While this feature helps resolve issues after submission, the best practice is still to confirm printability and file quality before requesting a quote. Our team is also continuing to research and improve pre-quote file validation to help customers identify potential printing issues earlier in the process.
