Tumbling is a surface finish for as-printed plastic or metal. Media blasting and tumbling need sturdy walls; vapor smoothing is for nylon; sanding and polish work on resins and many metals. Thin lattices and deep blind holes may be refused or quoted manually.
Blasting, tumbling, and vapor smoothing reduce layer texture. Aggressive media and vapor can round sharp edges and slightly change small holes. Polish and sanding remove a little material. Mark sealing faces and bearing seats in the notes.
Vapor smoothing chemically reflows nylon and can seal the surface. Tumbling and vibratory smoothing rub media against plastic or metal. Choose vapor when you need a sealed, glossier nylon; choose tumbling when you need batch-consistent edge break.
