Custom manufacturing for Semiconductor

Drawing-led mechanical parts, brackets and development fixtures for semiconductor equipment projects, with cleanliness and inspection requirements reviewed before quotation.

Equipment components can have requirements that extend well beyond dimensions. AIHFABS reviews custom machined parts and prototype fixtures against the supplied drawing. Vacuum, contamination, chemical compatibility and cleanroom acceptance must be agreed for the specific application; they are not assumed capabilities.

Custom manufacturing for Semiconductor

Plan the part around its operating conditions

Identify critical datums, surface texture, edge conditions and any restricted materials. Provide the process environment and cleaning, handling or packaging specification before a manufacturing route is confirmed.

Parts and applications

Examples for quotation and engineering review.

Mounts and adapter plates

Dimensioned interfaces for sensors, instruments and equipment subassemblies.

Inspection fixtures

Custom nests and locating components for repeatable mechanical checks.

Prototype covers

Assembly-development models for non-critical areas where the selected material is acceptable.

Equipment development parts

Machined components reviewed against explicit material, finish and inspection specifications.

From prototype development to production support

Plan each stage around the part’s function, material and inspection requirements—from the first design review to a repeatable batch.

  1. Share CAD and drawings

    Share CAD and drawings

Send the model, revision, quantity and a drawing identifying critical dimensions and mating features.

  2. Review material and process

    Review material and process

Identify critical datums, surface texture, edge conditions and any restricted materials. Provide the process environment and cleaning, handling or packaging specification before a manufacturing route is confirmed.

  3. Confirm finishing and inspection

    Confirm finishing and inspection

Supply datum references, tolerances, surface requirements and the documentation expected with the batch. Agree inspection methods and special packaging in advance.

  4. Review the first batch

    Review the first batch

Agree the sample checks and record drawing changes before ordering a repeat batch.

Manufacturing capabilities and material options

Match the process, material and finish to the part’s geometry and operating conditions. Share your requirements so the quotation can include the necessary secondary operations.

Material and finish selection

Confirm compatibility for the actual process environment, including any outgassing, particle or chemical restrictions.

CNC metals

Specify exact aluminum or stainless grades and the required treatment. Surface and cleaning requirements need a separate review.

3D printing polymers

Printed polymers may be useful for external mock-ups and non-critical fixtures; do not assume suitability for vacuum or contamination-sensitive use.

Design, material and inspection considerations

Equipment fixtures and precision interfaces

Provide the datum structure, mounting pattern and alignment features for carriers, plates and equipment brackets. Critical bores and reference faces may need machining and a dimensioned inspection plan rather than blanket tolerances.

Particle control and surface condition

Specify cleaning, handling, edge treatment and packaging requirements. Trapped powder, machining burrs and coating debris must be considered at the design stage; ordinary shop packaging should not be assumed suitable for a controlled environment.

Material, coating and process compatibility

State temperature, chemical exposure, vacuum conditions and any outgassing or contamination limits. Material and coating approval must follow the equipment requirements. This service covers mechanical hardware, not semiconductor device fabrication.

Semiconductor manufacturing FAQ

Are these parts automatically cleanroom certified?

No. Cleaning, handling, particle limits and packaging must be reviewed against your specification before acceptance.

Can you quote a vacuum component?

Submit the full material, surface, leak-test and cleanliness requirements for review. A quotation is conditional on confirmation of the specified manufacturing and verification route.

Can 3D printing replace a machined fixture?

It may help for external fit checks or non-critical fixtures. Evaluate stiffness, dimensional stability, contamination and service temperature before using it in equipment.

Discuss your Semiconductor parts

Upload the drawing and project requirements. Material suitability, pricing and delivery are confirmed during quotation.
